We are deeply saddened by the loss of so many lives during the tragic fire in Tai Po, as well as the injuries and personal loss suffered by many others.  Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this devastating tragedy. As people of action, apart from giving immediate help by providing emergency supplies, Rotary Clubs may consider to apply for Global Grant Projects to rebuild the community, for the community’s recovery and psychological support to create a deeper impact to our fellow citizens.

District Grant Management and Foundation Seminar 2025 (“the Seminar”)

The DRFC Resources & Training Sub Committee team organized the annual Grant Management & Foundation Seminar on 8 November 2025. Under the leadership of the Seminar Chair, CP Sally, more than 130 representatives participated from Rotary Clubs and Rotaract Clubs in Hong Kong and in Macau.

In the one-day seminar, topics covered include the vision on District Rotary Foundation 2026-27, introduction to Distrct Grant, Global Grant, The Rotary Foundation Program, obligations of grant participants, funding The Rotary Foundation and donor recognition by way of lecture-styled presentation,  interactive session between District Rotary Foundation Chair PDG Wilson and Foundation advisors on what Rotary Foundation is, to fireside chat on the practical experience in applying for District and Global Grants.  To make it more interactive, two Kahoot quiz sessions were held.

District 3450 is proud to say that the officer of the Rotary International was very impressed by the Seminar, especially the topics that we covered, the format and agenda will be shared to other Rotary districts as an example.

Genting Zone Institute

DG Cassy led our district delegation attended the Genting Zone Institute in November. It is encouraging that our district got outstanding performance during   Rotary Year (2024/25) and was recognized at the Institute. These include:

1. Top in Overall Foundation Giving
2. Top in Annual Fund Giving
3. Highest Contributions in PolioPlus

The awards are the joint effort of all Rotarians of District 3450 under the leadership of IPDG Nigel Lo. Special thanks must also be given to the Fund-raising team under DGN Frank Chan, End Polio Chair under PP Anita Tang and all District Rotary Foundation Committee members.

Intercity Meeting

This year, under the guidance of DG Cassy Cheng, we believe our performance will be amazing too. Upcoming next, donors to The Rotary Foundation will be recognized at the Intercity Meeting on 18 December 2025. Do miss this significant district event. You are encouraged to make your donation before the event, so that we can recognize you to all at the coming Intercity Meeting (Nina Hotel, Tsuen Wan West).

Rotary Hong Kong Ultramarathon 2026 cum End Polio Walk

This Rotary year, the End Polio fund raising event will be jointly organized with the Rotary Hong Kong Ultramarathon on 1 March 2026 (Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park & Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link) Please do mark your diary and join us.
