District Rotary Foundation Committee 2025 – 26

Rotary District 3450 hosted the Intercity Meeting in the honour of Past Rotary International President Holger Knaack, Chair of Trustees of the Rotary Foundation (“PRIP Holger”), on 18 December 2025 at Nina Hotel, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.

In PRIP Holger’s speech on The Rotary Foundation, he expressed that he believes in The Foundation and proud of it for the reasons that it is unique, because if it’s not the Rotary Trustees who decide on the projects, but by the donors and Rotarians who execute through global grant projects.

On the issue of Polio, since the first immunization program carried out in Manila, the Philippines 46 years ago, we are seeing global commitment to end polio.  With the last new polio case in September 2025, PRIP Holger expressed his hope to end Polio in the next couple of years.

Rotarians were encouraged to bring lasting change to people’s lives through bigger service projects making bigger impact.  In order to do so, It was PRIP Holger’s dream that Rotarians would make The Rotary Foundation as the choice to donate to as it can fulfil Rotarians’ dreams of a better world.

During the meeting, donors including new Paul Harris Fellows have been recognized. We thank the generosity of all donors who have contributed to The Rotary Foundation, investing into the future making lasting changes in lives.  Special mention to the following Rotarians and Rotary Clubs for their contribution (information as of 16 December 2025):
