On 22 March 2026, Rotary International District 3450 and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups successfully hosted “Give Blood, Feel Alive – Wellness &Blood Donation 2026”at the HKFYG Wellness PLUS Complex in Sham Shui Po. Guided by this year’s district theme — “Body, Soul and Spirit”— the initiative brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals and members of the public in a meaningful demonstration of compassion in action.

Distinguished Guests and Recognition of Partnership

The event was officiated by Dr. David LAM Tzit-yuen, Legislative Council Member; Mr. CHEN Zetao, Deputy Director of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; and Dr. KONG Shun Yin, Associate Consultant of the Blood Collection &Donor Recruitment Department, Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service.

Their presence highlighted the strong cross-sector collaboration supporting Hong Kong’s public health efforts.

In recognition of Rotary’s long-standing commitment to blood donation advocacy, the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service presented the Elite Partnership Award to Rotary International District 3450, affirming the district’s sustained contribution to safeguarding the city’s blood supply.

Strong Public Response to Blood Donation Campaign

The campaign received an encouraging response from the community. Nearly 200 people registered in advance, reflecting growing public awareness of the importance of regular blood donation. On the day of the event, 108 participants attended, including 51 Rotarians and Rotaractors and 57 members of the public.

District Governor Cassy Cheng marked a personal milestone by making her first-ever blood donation, leading by example and embodying Rotary’s spirit of “Service Above Self.”

By the end of the session, 93 participants successfully donated blood, achieving an impressive over 86% success rate. Each unit collected carries the potential to save multiple lives, offering renewed hope to patients and families across Hong Kong.

Since the beginning of the current Rotary Year, 419 individuals have registered for District 3450’s blood donation campaigns, with 248 successful donations recorded to date — a testament to Rotary’s growing impact in promoting a stable and sustainable blood supply for the community.

Promoting Holistic Wellness: Body, Soul and Spirit

Beyond blood donation, the event also embraced the district’s theme of “Body, Soul and Spirit” through a series of wellness workshops, including yoga, singing bowl therapy and aromatherapy.

More than 50 Rotarians and community members participated in these workshops, experiencing moments of mindfulness, balance and connection. By integrating wellness education with civic action, Rotary reinforced the message that caring for one’s own health empowers individuals to serve others more effectively.

The success of the event was made possible through the dedicated support of 12 sponsor Rotary clubs, whose commitment, volunteer service and encouragement mobilized participants and amplified the campaign’s outreach. Their collective effort exemplifies the strength of Rotary fellowship and the power of united action in serving the community.

Through “Give Blood, Feel Alive 2026,”Rotary International District 3450 once again demonstrated how leadership, partnership and collective goodwill can translate into tangible community impact — touching hearts, strengthening resilience and truly becoming a lifeline for Hong Kong.

國際扶輪3450地區「獻血展全健—全健及捐血推廣日 2026」- 凝聚愛心，為香港生命線注入力量

2026年3月22日，國際扶輪3450地區與香港青年協會假深水埗青協全健綜合大樓成功舉辦「獻血展全健—全健及捐血推廣日 2026」。活動貫徹本年度地區主題 「身、心、靈」，匯聚社區領袖、醫護專業人員及市民大眾，以實際行動實踐關愛精神，攜手守護香港的生命線。

嘉賓蒞臨主禮  見證跨界協作

立法會議員林哲玄醫生、中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室協調部副部長陳澤濤先生，以及香港紅十字會輸血服務中心血液收集及招募部主管江舜賢醫生撥冗出席表彰典禮，並擔任主禮嘉賓。

多位嘉賓親臨支持，充分彰顯政府、醫療機構與社會團體之間的緊密合作，以及各界攜手推動本港公共健康發展的共同承擔。

為表揚扶輪社多年來積極倡議及推動捐血文化，香港紅十字會輸血服務中心向國際扶輪3450地區頒發「卓越伙伴獎」，以肯定地區在維持本港血液供應穩定方面所作出的長期貢獻。

社區踴躍參與  傳遞生命希望

活動獲得社區熱烈響應，近200人預先登記參與，反映市民對定期捐血重要性的認識持續提升。活動當日共有 108人出席，包括51名扶輪及扶青社社員，以及57名公眾人士。

地區總監鄭卓群亦於當日完成首次捐血，以身作則，實踐扶輪「超我服務」的核心精神。

最終共有 93人成功捐血，成功率超過 86%。每一袋血液均承載著拯救生命的希望，為無數病者及其家庭帶來延續生命的契機。

本扶輪年度至今，3450地區捐血活動已累計 419人登記，錄得 248宗成功捐血，充分展現扶輪在推動穩定及可持續血液供應方面的影響力與承擔。

推動全人健康  實踐「身、心、靈」理念

除捐血活動外，大會亦圍繞「身、心、靈」主題舉辦多項全健工作坊，包括瑜伽體驗、頌缽療癒及芳香治療，讓參與者在繁忙生活中暫緩腳步，重拾身心平衡。

超過50名扶輪社員及社區人士參與各項活動，透過專注與放鬆的體驗，加深對全健的理解。活動將健康教育與公益行動相結合，彰顯「關顧自身健康，方能更好服務他人」的理念。

透過「獻血展全健—全健及捐血推廣日 2026」，國際扶輪3450地區再次展示了領導力，當與伙伴協作及社會善意匯聚之時，便能轉化為具體而深遠的社區力量——感動人心、增強社區韌性，真正成為守護香港的生命線。
