
Rotary Volunteer Network (RVN) Activity May 2026 Report
1. Rotary Volunteer Award Final Judging Day – 26 March 2026
The Rotary Volunteer Award (RVA) successfully conducted its Final Judging Day on 26 March 2026. The event ran smoothly thanks to the dedicated support received from recruitment through to the final preparation. A total of 40 entries were assessed by the 13 AGs in the District before they were selected to the final across four categories: Rotarian, Rotaractor, and two newly introduced categories – Interactor and RCC (Rotary Community Corps) member. The final judges are PDG Eric Chak, PDG Andy Li, RVN Vice Chair PP Eliza Ning, the top two 2025 Rotarian RVA Awardees PP Joseph Kwan (Gold) PP Andrew Jones (Silver) and P Michael Chan ( Rotarator Gold). The organisers extend heartfelt congratulations to all participants and winners. Formal award announcements and the prize presentation ceremony will take place during the District Conference at the end of May 2026.
The RVA Chair DDS Donald Chan, Vice Chair DS Eddy Lo, and the entire RVA Organising Committee are warmly thanked for their tireless efforts.


2. Certificate of Appreciation – WFC Fire Relief
On 14 April 2026, PP Eliza attended the DMC meeting, where DG Cassy presented the Rotary Volunteer Network with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of RVN’s support for the WFC Fire Relief efforts.


3. Upcoming Fellowship Event – Pickleball Gathering (24 May 2026)
To foster fellowship through sport, RVN is organising a Pickleball Gathering. Pickleball is a new racquet sport combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.

- Venue: Pick and Match, Unit 3, Level 13, Megabox, 38 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay
- Fee: HK$420 per person (includes coach, racquet, snacks and drinks)

4. Strive and Rise Programme (共創明“Teen”)
RVN continues to demonstrate service beyond traditional Rotary activities. Both RVN Chair PDG Andy Li and Vice Chair PP Eliza Ning have joined the HKSAR Government’s “Strive and Rise Programme” as mentors this year. Some other RVN members have also participated in this meaningful initiative.
The programme is led by the Chief Secretary for Administration through an inter-departmental Task Force, operating on a tripartite collaboration among the Government, the business sector, and the community. Its objective is to help young mentees broaden their horizons, reinforce self-confidence, develop a positive outlook on life, set future goals, and strive for upward mobility. The intensive foundation programme lasts one year, followed by an Alumni Club. Those who want to learn more about this programme could refer to the link below.

Conclusion
The Rotary Volunteer Network remains active in community support, fellowship and youth mentorship. All members are encouraged to join the upcoming Pickleball event and look forward to the District Conference awards.
