Dear fellow People of Action,

May has been a vibrant and eventful month for our district, filled with meaningful milestones, service, and fellowship. As we move closer to the end of this Rotary year, I want to take this moment to celebrate what we have accomplished together and to thank each of you for your passion and commitment to our shared mission.

I am pleased to welcome the Rotary Club of Amity Nexus Hong Kong as our 122nd club. Chartered under President Susanna Lam, this new club brings together 21 professionals from healthcare, law, finance, technology, and consulting. Based in Area 2, they will focus on mental health, elderly services, and youth mentorship. Let us continue to support and nurture our newest members as they grow within our Rotary family.

Our 66^th District Conference on 30-31 May was a memorable success. From the Leaders Lunch and Opening Ceremony to an inspiring address by Dr Hon Starry Lee Wai-king GBS, JP on the 15^th Five-Year Plan, the programme offered rich learning and exchange. Five breakout sessions, engaging remarks from Rotary International President’s Representative Past District Governor Pauline Leung, and the joyful “Interstellar Odyssey” Banquet made the first day truly special. Day two featured powerful talks by Researcher Wang Feiteng and William Hung on climate change and glacier conservation, followed by a strong Closing Ceremony, where PDG Pauline gave high praise for the quality and energy of the entire programme. My sincere thanks go to the Organising Committee, our Rotary family, and all guests for making this Conference unforgettable.

I was also honoured to nominate Past Governor Eric for the prestigious Service Above Self Award—Rotary’s highest individual honour, awarded to only 150 Rotarians globally each year. Eric exemplifies this recognition fully, having served three years as District Public Image Chair after his DG term and now three more as District Membership Chair. Generous, calm, and kind, he is a Rotarian we are truly proud of.

May, being Youth Service Month, saw clubs worldwide celebrate and support young leaders up to age 30. Across our district, we marked this with anniversaries, service projects, and youth development activities. I encourage everyone to keep investing in our next generation through our professional expertise, inspiring them to give back to society in the future.

Looking ahead to June, two major events await us. First, the Rotary International Convention in Taipei—please remember to register for the Governor’s Banquet on 15 June, and let us celebrate together. Second, for the first time in District 3450’s 95-year history, we will host and participate in the Rotary Cup Dragon Boat Competition on 19 June. This is a historic milestone, so please come and cheer us on as we conclude our year of Body, Mind & Soul with a perfect finale.

親愛的扶輪行動夥伴們：

五月承載了許多有意義的里程碑、服務與聯誼，對我們來說，是充滿活力與精彩的一個月。隨著本扶輪年度漸漸步入尾聲，我想藉此機會，與大家一起慶祝我們攜手達成的各項成果，並衷心感謝每一位夥伴的熱情與付出。

首先歡迎香港善行扶輪社成為我們第122個屬社。這個新社由創社社長Susannah Lam領導，匯聚了來自醫療、法律、金融、科技及顧問等不同專業領域的21位創社社員。該社隸屬第二地域，未來將聚焦於精神健康、長者服務及青年導師計劃等服務範疇。讓我們一起支持及幫助這些新加入的社友，陪伴他們在扶輪大家庭中茁壯成長。

我們於5月30至31日舉行的第66屆地區年會，是一次令人難忘的成功盛會。從領袖午宴及開幕典禮，到主禮嘉賓立法會議員李慧琼博士金紫荊星章太平紳士就「十五五」規劃發表啟發人心的演講，整個議程充滿了豐富的學習與交流。首天活動還包括五場分組研討會、國際扶輪社長代表梁吳蓓琳前總監的精彩致辭，以及充滿歡樂和創意、主題為「星際漫遊」的總監晚宴。第二天則有研究員王飛騰及洪偉念先生就氣候變化與冰川保育帶來發人深省的分享，隨後在閉幕典禮中，梁前總監對整個大會的品質與活力給予高度讚揚，我衷心感謝籌備委員會、所有扶輪大家庭的成員及來賓，謝謝你們讓這次年會如此成功及難忘。

此外，我深感榮幸能提名前總監翟慶聰榮獲「超我服務獎」——這是扶輪最高等級的個人榮譽，全球每年僅有150位扶輪社員獲此殊榮。前總監翟慶聰實至名歸，他在其總監任期結束後，隨即擔任地區公共形象委員會主委三年，並隨後展開第二個三年地區社員委員會主委的任期。他總是慷慨待人、沉穩而親切，是我們深感驕傲的扶輪人榜樣。

五月同時也是「青年服務月」，全球各地的扶輪社都聚焦於表揚及支持30歲以下的青年領袖。在我們地區，我們也透過週年慶典、服務計劃及青年發展活動來響應。我鼓勵各社友繼續運用我們的專業知識與經驗，投資在下一代身上，激勵他們未來回饋社會。

展望六月，有兩項重要活動正等待我們。首先是假台北舉行的國際扶輪年會——請記得報名參加6月15日的總監晚宴，讓我們一起共同慶祝這一年的成果。其次，3450地區自95年來將於6月19日首次舉辦「扶輪盃龍舟競賽」。這是一個歷史性的里程碑，誠邀各社友來為我們加油打氣，並為我們「身心靈」年度主題畫上圓滿句號。
