Nurturing our Next generation – District Youth Projects 2025-26

Youth is an important pillar for our future. As part of our commitment to nurture our next generation, we are pleased to introduce the Youth Projects to you all in Rotary Year 2025-26.

District Youth Service Committee 2025-26

Interact – Chaired by Past President Frank Wong

Our district currently oversees more than 80 Interact Clubs. At the district level, we will continue to enhance collaboration and communication between Interact Clubs and their sponsoring clubs to create greater synergies.

Core Projects for 2025-26:

1.Rotary Knowledge Exchange Workshop

  • Share Rotary’s core principles.
  • Inspire students on the importance of ethical values and making a positive societal impact.

2.Interactor Vegetarian MasterChef Competition

  • Promote personal health and well-being.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among participants.

3.Interact Career Orientation

  • Career-driven, Invite speakers from various fields to share their experience and knowledge to our Interactors
  • Targeting Interactors in F4-F6

Junioract – Chaired by Past President Helen Chan

With around 20 Junioract Clubs in our district, our focus for 2025-26 will be on expanding the footprint of Junioract Clubs, leveraging awareness built over the past five years. We will also engage Junioractors through district-wide initiatives.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) – Chaired by Past President Anita Chan

RYLA 2025-26 is scheduled for mid-March or early May 2026, under the theme: Imagining Our Future. The program will focus on how global elements can collaborate, offering participants experience-led learning opportunities.

  • Interactive Activities: Help participants reflect on their values and gain exposure.
  • 3-Day Experiential Camp: Culmination of the program.

Youth Protection – Chaired by Past President Amy Cho

Youth Protection remains a cornerstone of our activities, ensuring policies are implemented, raising awareness, and addressing relevant issues and concerns.

Planned Activities:

3 Youth Protection Seminars:

  • one already covered during the Rotaract Advisors’ Orientation (Cantonese), the other one will be held in the Orientation (English)
  • The third will be held during the Youth Learning Academy on 06 September.

Youth Exchange – Chaired by President-Nominee Wayne Lai

One of the most effective ways for students to learn is through experiential learning. This year, we are delighted to have secured funding from the Home & Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Council to organize an Interactor trip to Mongolia, scheduled from 22–27 August 2025.

We would also like to express our gratitude to our sponsoring clubs for their support. A group of 30 Interactors from 10 Interact Clubs/Schools will be joining us on this meaningful journey. During the trip, students will have the opportunity to plan and implement their own service projects, collaborate with Mongolian Interactors, and gain a deeper understanding of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The first pre-trip workshop was successfully held on 29 July. Another workshop is scheduled for 19 August, and the post-trip sharing session will take place on 6 September at the Youth Learning Academy.

Youth Learning Academy – 06 September

We will host the Youth Learning Academy on the afternoon of 06 September to provide an overview of the 2025-26 Youth Projects and share highlights from the Mongolia trip. Stay tuned for promotional materials, which will be released in early August.
