District Vocational Service Technology Forum was held in the morning of 18 October 2025 (Sat) with 83 participants who came from 41 Rotary Clubs, 1 Rotaract Club as well as 10 non-Rotarians, invited by Rotarians.  The event started with open remarks from Governor Cassy CHENG followed by welcome speech from District Vocational Service Chair, Past President Natalie KWOK, and then certification of appreciation was presented to our speakers.

The speakers came from unique sectors within the technology industry and gave insights that amazed us.  Immediate Past President Lewis LEE, from Rotary Club of Shenzhen, shared on the power of Huawei Technologies (“Huawei”) in technology infrastructures to support advancement for applications as well as Huawei’s high transparency through annual reports published on their website.  Mr. Raymond CHAN, head of Australia & New Zealand from Enfusion, flew in from Sydney and shared insight on financial technologies evolutions as well as importance of humans’ capabilities being enabler for technology advancement.  Ms. Ellen LAU, Executive Director from Preface, gave a very educational talk on Artificial Intelligence application for business that facilitated on opportunities in the future.

During tea break, light refreshments were served and participants had opportunities to network as well as further discuss with speakers to deepen understanding.

After a fruitful networking break came the highlight of the day with panel discussion on “Now & Beyond on Technology Evolutions” moderated by Assistant Governor Stephen CHEUNG and participated by the 3 speakers. During the panel discussion, many key take-aways were noted and our Rotarians enthusiastically raised enquiries during the Q & A Session.

Before the District Vocational Service – Technology Forum came to the end, the event chair, Past President Colin CHAU, thanked everyone for joining, extended gratefulness for the wonderful insights from our speakers, his gratitude to STL Financial Group for venue sponsor.
