Summary of Rotary Volunteer Network (RVN)\u2019s 15th National Games Volunteer Project<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For over a full year, the Rotarian Volunteer Network (RVN) has been actively involved, starting from the creation of a dedicated WhatsApp group on October 24, 2024, to coordinate volunteer projects for the 15th National Games. Special thanks to RIC Elaine for her support and liaison with the organizers. The entire process progressed smoothly\u2014from the initial interviews, project trainings and the actual project participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, we successfully selected 36 Rotary Volunteer Network members from a pool of 51 prospective volunteers to officially join the team. We were assigned to support the Triathlon event, which took place at the Central Harbourfront on November 15th and 16th. Although we had to arrive at the venue as early as 4:00 AM on the first day, all volunteers were full of energy. We truly appreciated the leadership of the volunteer leaders, which ensured the smooth and successful execution of the entire triathlon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most touching moment was cheering for the Macau team until the very last athlete crossed the finish line! \ud83d\udcaa<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, we hope the Greater Bay Area secures the opportunity to host the 2036 Olympic Games. If the bid is successful, we look forward to reuniting with everyone for this global spectacle and participating together once again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5c55\u671b\u672a\u4f86\uff0c\u5e0c\u671b\u5927\u7063\u5340\u6709\u6a5f\u6703\u6210\u529f\u7533\u8fa62036\u5e74\u5967\u904b\u6703\u3002\u5982\u679c\u7533\u8fa6\u6210\u529f\uff0c\u671f\u5f85\u5c46\u6642\u8207\u5927\u5bb6\u518d\u6b21\u76f8\u805a\uff0c\u5171\u540c\u53c3\u8207\u9019\u9805\u570b\u969b\u76db\u4e8b\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below are the recaps on the National Games Torch Relay and Triathlon.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*National Games Torch Relay*<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of 2nd November 7 AM, we, Rotary Volunteer Network members (RVN), participated in the volunteer service for the National Games Torch Relay event. The weather was partly cloudy with comfortable temperature and occasional sunshine, creating a pleasant atmosphere for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 23 volunteers from our team joined the service, each assigned to different roles based on the event\u2019s needs. Some volunteers formed a human chain to guide guests and torchbearers along the entry route to the venue, ensuring a smooth arrival. Others were responsible for distributing name tags to guests, completing the task efficiently with careful verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the enthusiastic and lively atmosphere at the scene, all volunteers remained focused and steadfast in their posts. With dedication and teamwork, we successfully supported the smooth progress and completion of the torch relay. This experience not only deepened our sense of responsibility but also strengthened our bonds through collaborative service. We look forward to continuing to contribute to public welfare services and spreading warmth through practical actions, leverage the power of the RVN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u672c\u6b21\u670d\u52d9\u5171\u670923\u4f4d\u6276\u8f2a\u7fa9\u5de5\u7db2\u7d61\u5718\u7fa9\u5de5\u5925\u4f34\u651c\u624b\u53c3\u8207\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4f9d\u6d3b\u52d5\u9700\u6c42\u5206\u914d\u5230\u4e0d\u540c\u5d17\u4f4d\uff0c\u5404\u53f8\u5176\u8077\u3001\u9ed8\u5951\u914d\u5408\u3002\u90e8\u5206\u7fa9\u5de5\u7d44\u6210\u4eba\u93c8\uff0c\u5728\u5609\u8cd3\u53ca\u706b\u70ac\u624b\u7684\u9032\u5834\u8def\u7dda\u4e0a\u63d0\u4f9b\u5f15\u5c0e\u670d\u52d9\uff0c\u78ba\u4fdd\u5927\u5bb6\u6709\u5e8f\u62b5\u9054\u6703\u5834\uff1b\u53e6\u6709\u7fa9\u5de5\u8ca0\u8cac\u5609\u8cd3\u540d\u724c\u7684\u5206\u6d3e\u5de5\u4f5c\uff0c\u7d30\u7dfb\u6838\u5c0d\u4fe1\u606f\u3001\u9ad8\u6548\u5b8c\u6210\u5206\u767c\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Volunteer Service for the Triathlon*<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our 2 days volunteer service starting from 15Nov 4:30am.   23 volunteers from the Rotary Volunteer Network fully engaged in the volunteer service for the Triathlon. On the first day, before dawn, the volunteers rushed to their posts, undertaking crowd control and access management in different areas. With meticulous execution, they ensured the smooth flow of all race routes and successfully wrapped up the day\u2019s work under the rising bright sunshine. On the second day, the volunteers started their work in brilliant sunshine\u2014some stuck to their original posts, while others joined the cheering team, with continuous cheers echoing to support the athletes. Everyone remained focused and dedicated throughout Over the two days, all volunteers persisted under the scorching sun, contributing passionate enthusiasm and practical actions to ensure the race\u2019s smooth progress, finally concluding the service with reluctance. This experience not only enhanced our teamwork but also brought us a sense of responsibility and warmth through dedication, deepening our understanding of the volunteers\u2019 cooperation and selfless devotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
