Welcome to the new Rotary year with a continued initiative on DEI. It gives me great pleasure to continue serving as the Chair of the District DEI Committee for the Rotary Year 2025-2026 and working with a team of dedicated Committee Members with diverse culture, background and experience.
MISSION STATEMENT
To lead, guide, and inform all clubs and their members about the importance of creating a welcoming, accepting, and inclusive environment for all and the necessity of fostering and promoting an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion to attract, develop, engage, and retain exceptional service-minded individuals.
VISION STATEMENT
To provide all stakeholders with the tools, education, and space to advance the understanding and practices of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our district and clubs, for all members, the individuals we touch and the communities we serve.
The “Unite for Good” theme in Rotary is strongly aligned with a commitment to DEI. The theme emphasizes bringing people together to create positive change, and Rotary’s DEI statement reinforces that a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is essential for realizing this vision. The theme encourages members to embrace the power of human connection and collaboration, which directly supports the goals of DEI by valuing diverse perspectives and working together to achieve common goals.

✔ Promote DEI in our club by:
- Form your Committee inclusive of greater diversity
- Encourage Club to form a DEI Committee – DEI Ambassador
- Encourage Club to develop club DEI Statement
- Talking about the benefits of a diverse and inclusive club
- Encourage Club to conduct ‘A Diversity Assessment’
- Urge Club to invite local DEI experts to speak to your club
- Share your success stories and best practice
- Seeking out new voices
- Design inclusive youth programs
- Attend District DEI Seminar
